Brandon Scott DeWitt, a proud United States Army Veteran, has lost his fight with PTSD. This injury is real. It is heavy. And for far too many, it becomes too much to carry alone.
Brandon served his country for four years. He gave a part of himself in that service something many will never fully understand. Behind the uniform was a man who loved deeply, lived loudly, and showed up for the people around him. He was an avid outdoorsman. He found peace in nature. He was the life of the party the one who made people laugh, the one people were drawn to. He loved his family. He loved his friends. And he mattered more than words can ever explain.
He was only 26 years old.
Today, we don’t just mourn how he died we honor how he lived. Brandon is not just a statistic. He is not just “one of 22.”
He is a son. A friend. A brother. A Veteran. A life that deserved more time.
We say his name. We remember his story. And we carry the weight he no longer could.
Rest easy, Brandon. Your fight is over now. We’ll take it from here.
