Healing the Hero

Healing the Hero is a Christian faith-based organization for Veterans, First Responders, Gold Star Families and their families through peer support. We teach mission Heroes and their families struggling with Post Traumatic Stress, depression, anxiety, or anger problems and more how to get beyond traumatic and negative unhealthy emotions to live their lives in the manner the Gospel intended, in relationship with Jesus Christ. Let’s help you clear out the clutter first with the Jesus Protocol or the Peer Rescue Protocol. There is never a cost associated with the interventions.

What is the Jesus Protocol or the Peer Rescue Protocol?

The Jesus Protocol and the Peer Rescue Protocol are nonclinical interventions that use neuroplasticity to rewire the brain using guided mindfulness. This mindfulness permanently changes the state of the emotion attached to a traumatic stress trigger, or an unhealthy negative stress trigger like rage, anxiety or survivor guilt. These protocols will not change the memory, that is your story, it will only change how you feel about the memories. This changes your patterns of behavior, which restores your life and heals your nervous system. It teaches you how to respond to stimuli differently. When the 800 pound gorilla is off your back like PTSD, Anxiety and Depression, you will be better receptive to cognitive therapy and will benefit from it after the release of emotions.

Reintegration to a civilian world

Many veterans and first responders struggle to step back into civilian life, leaving their families to deal with the problems of their broken homes and potentially even suicide. By healing the root injuries of traumatic stress and unhealthy negative emotions and returning their lives to Biblical principles, these men and women can lead their families, communities and the nation from a higher level of safety, we call this the "High Ground".

Mission

Our mission is to heal and restore our national Heroes and their families, who have endured the difficulties through their service to their communities and to America. We want to help them find a new life purpose through hope in Jesus and the Jesus Protocol or the Peer Rescue Protocol as the mechanisms to get them there.

Vision

When restoration of our heroes occurs, we put them on a path to make a significant impact on the Kingdom of God in their communities, Nation and families to bring peace into a hurting world.

Non believers are welcomed and encouraged to heal, you deserve to be set free.

We will never turn away any individual because of their lack of a belief in God or absence of a Christian Faith. Our Peer Rescuers are skilled in administering the Jesus Protocol for those of faith, and equally as skilled in the Peer Rescue Protocol offering the same results using the secular method.

We will never turn you away because of your beliefs because one of our beliefs found in scripture,s we firmly believe Matthew 25:40 is clear, And the King will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of these my brothers you did it to me.’

We all have been there in difficult times, and many of us living with trauma can have difficulty with faith, we do believe if you heal the mind the heart will follow, but it is our love for you that we want to share this gift even if you remain a non-believer.
