Andrew Martin

USCG Veteran-Career Firefighter and Paramedic

Florida

Andrew Martin is a United States Coast Guard veteran and career Firefighter/Paramedic who has spent his life operating where pressure is constant, decisions matter, and lives are on the line.

He began his service as an Aviation Electrical Technician and HH-60 helicopter aircrew member, supporting high-risk missions across the Caribbean—including drug interdiction, search and rescue, hurricane response, and disaster operations. In these environments, Andrew learned what it means to perform with precision, stay calm under pressure, and trust the team beside you.

Following his military service, he continued that commitment in the fire service. For more than a decade, Andrew has served as a Firefighter, Paramedic, Acting Driver, and Acting Lieutenant in a high-volume EMS system—responding daily to trauma calls, fires, and critical incidents where others are experiencing the worst moments of their lives.

But like so many who serve, the weight of those experiences doesn’t stay on the job.

Years of cumulative stress began to impact Andrew and his family, forcing him to confront the reality that even the strongest operators carry unseen burdens. His journey toward healing started through the VA, but it was his introduction to Healing the Hero that marked a turning point.

Skeptical at first—but still searching—Andrew stepped into the process and experienced real, measurable change through the Trauma Resiliency Protocol–Peer Rescue (TRP-PR) and the Jesus Protocol. Through that process, he didn’t just find relief—he reclaimed clarity, strengthened his faith, and reconnected with his purpose.

Today, Andrew serves as a Healing the Hero Peer Coach, walking shoulder-to-shoulder with veterans, first responders, and their families as they move from carrying the weight… to laying it down.

He understands the burden—because he’s lived it.

And he stands as proof that healing is possible, strength can be restored, and no one has to carry it alone.
