Law Enforcement Retired
Dave Black is a devoted Christian, a loving husband, father, and proud Pops, whose life has been guided by unwavering faith and deep compassion. After more than 27 years with the Lake Wales Police Department in Florida (retiring in 2023), Dave brought home more than medals – he carried a deep commitment to care for others. He always prioritized the well-being of his team, serving with a servant’s heart and a listening ear, carrying the weight of their burdens as if they were his own. Through every challenge, his faith in the Lord was the guiding light that reminded him of God’s love and purpose in his work.
After retirement, Dave’s journey took a new turn when he reconnected with his old police academy friend, Dan Jarvis, and learned about the Jesus Protocol. Experiencing its gentle, faith-based approach to healing firsthand confirmed Dave’s long-held belief that even the deepest wounds can be renewed by God’s love. Grateful for the specialized Trauma Resiliency training he received through Healing the Hero with the Trauma Resiliency Protocol-Peer Rescue and the Jesus Protocol; Dave now dedicates himself to helping others find peace and strength. With humility and hope, he pours out compassion and encouragement to members of the public safety and military communities, inspiring them not just to survive their struggles but to truly thrive.
At home, Dave treasures time with his family and finds solace in nature through hunting and hiking – activities that remind him of God’s creation and the peace it can bring. Whether he’s praying with a colleague or guiding someone to see Christ’s light in a dark place, Dave’s mission is clear: to serve with a full heart and share the love that has carried him through his own journey.
