Daniel Cadwell is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer (E-7) and combat veteran who served with SEAL Team One from 1998 to 2015. A highly specialized Military Working Dog (MWD) handler, he deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan, supporting high-risk direct action and counterterrorism missions alongside elite K9 partners.
Cadwell’s service is marked by extraordinary sacrifice and resilience. He was wounded in combat on multiple occasions, including surviving IED blasts that claimed and injured his K9 partners. His valor and leadership earned him numerous decorations, including the Bronze Star with “V” for Valor and the Purple Heart.
Following his military career, Cadwell transitioned into the tech sector, earning a degree in Computer Science and becoming a Salesforce and cloud systems professional. Today, he continues his mission of service as a passionate advocate for veterans and military working dogs, using his voice to highlight the powerful bond between handler and K9—both in combat and in healing.
His life reflects a legacy of courage, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to others.
