Mike Morrison, Healing The Hero Coach

US Army-Combat Veteran-Afghanistan

Texas

Mike “MO” Moorison is a U.S. Army combat veteran, peer mentor, and advocate for healing—someone who has lived the reality of war, carried the weight, and found a way forward.

Serving as a Forward Observer (13F) with 2-7 Infantry during a combat deployment to Afghanistan from 2012 to 2013, Mike operated on the front lines where precision, communication, and composure under fire were critical. In that role, he was responsible for coordinating indirect fire in high-risk environments—an experience that forged both his tactical mindset and his deep commitment to those he served beside.

But like so many warriors, the fight didn’t end when the deployment was over.

For years, Mike battled the invisible wounds of trauma—carrying it quietly while searching for something that would finally work. That turning point came when he connected with Healing the Hero and stepped into the Trauma Resiliency Protocol (TRP).

What he found wasn’t another temporary fix—it was real change.

Through the process, Mike reclaimed something that had been missing for years—clarity, peace, and control over his life again. The weight didn’t define him anymore… and for the first time in a long time, the future looked different.

Now, “MO” has made it his mission to give that back.

As a Healing the Hero Peer Mentor, he walks shoulder-to-shoulder with veterans, first responders, and their families—meeting them where they are, because he’s been there himself. He brings authenticity, empathy, and hard-earned credibility to every interaction, helping others realize they’re not broken—and they’re not alone.

Mike’s life today reflects that restoration.

After spending much of 2025 living abroad in Estonia, he has returned home to the Fort Worth/Dallas, Texas area, where he is building a new chapter rooted in faith, family, and purpose. Recently married, Mike is preparing to welcome his baby girl while embracing his role as a father to two bonus children.

He stands today not just as a veteran—but as a man who fought his way back.

And as proof that healing is real, purpose can be restored, and a new life is always within reach.
